Before the winter season is upon us California Restoration Contractors wanted to inform all it’s Agents and staff, Adjusters, and third-party administrators about the changes taking place here at CRC.
We have completed our new web page to better inform our clients and to give you, your staff, and your homeowners a better perspective on the restoration process. We continue to improve on an already great customer service record!
California Restoration Contractors have completed the implementation of our affiliated company “Dryfast”. After years in the industry, both on the Insurance and Construction side, we saw a need for a specialized unit to handle water losses. As a reinspector for State Farm Insurance and hundreds of reinspections we continually had seen a pattern of cutting anything out that was wet. This is not the best approach and it will raise loss ratio’s. Dryfast was created to help homeowners get the home dried without cutting out drywall, carpet, etc.. If it’s a clean water supply line, it’s almost never necessary to cut anything out, it needs to be dried quickly. This is what drying fans, dehumidifiers, axial fans, injecta dry is all about. Have you had a water loss where the restoration firm cut out carpet, drywall, etc, and still left the fans, dehumidifier there running for 3-4 days? We have the knowledge, experience, and equipment to dry the house down without tearing out building material.
Additionally, California Restoration Contractors utilizes the best investigative equipment on the market. We have all been recently certified to operate thermal cameras to determine the areas that are wet, without destruction or poking of drywall and other building materials. This also helps in determining exactly where to position our equipment to dry the home down effeciently and affectively.
We have added several pages on our web-site to help in preventative actions you and your clients should take to eliminate any unneccesary damage to their home. We believe that more preventative information will help in controlling future claims and claims payments.
Lastly, we have just been approved on the Android markets for our newest customer service application for this smart phone. The application is for the main purpose of allowing your clients to access all emergency numbers necessary when a disaster occurs, preventative steps to help mitigate damage, and that keeping your agent and claims people informed throughout the process. This is such a vital component of getting the damage addressed as soon as possible to help control loss ratio’s. Good morning to all our clients,
California Restoration Contractors is continuing to improve on an already excellent emergency service for water damage record. We believe in doing the right job the first time, without cutting out every piece of building material that got wet.
Dryfast is a division of California Restoration Contractors specifically for water damage emergencies. After years in the industry on the Insurance Claims side as well as an estimator on the construction side we began to see a need to advise both sides what has been a continuing problem of cut and slash emergency service companies. What do we mean by cut and slash? Well, the problem that continues to exist is emergency service companies continue cutting out any part of the building that got wet and then putting in drying fans, dehumidifier’s to dry the structure for days. Why would you need any drying equipment if all the wet carpet, all the drywall, etc has been cut out? Well, the truth is we can use the industry standard equipment to dry out walls, carpet, etc without cutting the perimeter drywall or carpet out. This approach will save the insurance company millions of dollars and get the homeowner back in the home much quicker.

We have a new wind warning for Los Angeles/Ventura County. Heavy Santa Ana Winds are expected to reach sustained gusts of 40mph.
This is a good time to check your exterior for loose items, or items easily blown down. Check your trees and reinforce with tie downs, check your roof as well. These winds are potentially dangerous so take precautions and get ready for some heavy Santa Anas.

California Restoration Contractors has been working on some new green designs that we intend to recieve a Gold Certifification from the USGBC. We take a four pronged approach to green design:
1. Energy Sytems - Solar, wind, and hydro energy
2. Water Catchment System - Rooftop catchment systems for grey water, drinking water, and landscaping.
3. Geo-Thermal Heating/Cooling Systems (loop systems)
4. Composting Toilet Systems (Envirolet)
In addition, we use sustainable material in the construction as well. One of the most important parts of the design is the core & shell, windows, etc. We have been using Nidura wall systems which is a pre-fab insulated concrete wall system. Nana Walls Systems, which open the house up completely to the outside for an open air feeling.
